Niagara on the Lake

This week we had a special treat. Linda and I went to Niagara on the Lake, Canada for the day. It was a beautiful old town just north of Niagara Falls. It was a unique grape growing area of the world and had a multitude of wineries.

The old town was picturesque and everywhere you looked the flowers were abundant.

The Prince of Wales hotel was gorgeous inside and had this stained glass window. Outside the carriages awaited you. niagara on the lake 10.11 023

Shops, restaurants, and cafes lined the streets.

We decided to eat at the Greek restaurant on their outdoor patio.

Our menu was moussaka, chicken soulvaki, greek salad and garlic bread.

Our visit would not be complete without a visit to the gelato and patisserie where we overindulged in decadent treats.
