NEW PICTURES!

Sean learned to roll over!

Uncle Chris and Sean

Two sleepy babies!

Photoshop 2

I've been playing around with photoshop again. Here are some of the results. The first one is a watercolor sketch. Then two fishing watercolors. They have to be larger to really appreciate the watercolor detail. The last is a pencil sketch.

Playing with Photoshpo

Today I've spent part of the day learning to use Photoshop. I was inspired by going to an art show on Friday where I saw some manipulated photos. I've wanted to learn my program and have been experimenting with it for some time now. I think now that I've learned to make a photo look like a watercolor. Here are some examples of my playing today.

Sisters

Want to have fun?

What a happy movie! Last night Yrsa, Linda, and I went to see mamma mia in Olean. We first had dinner at Applebee's and then went to the show. This was just a great movie. We left the theater singing the ABBA songs. I think there was a smile on my face right from the beginning and it never left..especially at the end when you thought the movie was over, but it wasn't. I can see why the broadway play was such a hit! It was nice to come out of the theater with such happiness. It's two thumbs up and 4 stars for this one!

It's summertime

It's summertime and time to set the table in a fun light summer way. My sister Linda gave me the small bird plates after her trip to San Francisco. The silverware was a gift also from Aline and Jerry and are from Cutco Cutlery. The seashell silver napkin rings are from Target.
Here is my iron and glass centerpiece this time with a large conch shell, moss and coral.

Putting up the lights

Everytime we add something to the courtyard it just gets prettier. Here is Don putting up the paper lanterns. I've always wanted those somehow in my outdoor decorating but didn't think they were practical for Bradford's rainy weather. But I think they'll do just fine under the breezeway. The other lights are round bulbs like the ones I saw once in the Olive Garden. I knew that was what I wanted.

A baby shower

We tried to guess how big Becky's tummy was.

Put the pacifier in the baby's mouth.

Jeff got a Haz-mat kit including goggles, face mask, tongs, rubber gloves, and room spray.

Pretty pink baby things.

New Baby Pictures

Here we are at the Hard Rock Cafe having lunch.

M-m-m-m-m....peaches

Just kidding!

I created this make believe magazine cover. What fun!

Catching up!

The older I get the longer it takes to catch up from a trip.

We got back on Wednesday evening so that night was spent just cleaning up the kitchen. The cat of course was walking all over the countertops. (He wouldn't dare do that when I'm home) and I have to disinfect everything, wash the tablecloth because he climbed on it, put away all his dishes, mop the floor...well, you get the picture.

Yesterday you would think that I would be able to at least empty the suitcase and away my clothes. Nope! I did put away my bathroom stuff but didn't get to the large suitcase. It's a good thing I washed clothes just before I left.

Today I'm cleaning out the car. I didn't want to . I would have much rather taken it to be detailed. In fact, I did drive down to a detailer and he was closed. So I stopped at the car wash, vacuumed out the car, washed it, came home and washed the carpet. Whew! am I tired now. I emptied all the stuff out of the car that really didn't belong there and carried it into the kitchen. Now my kitchen is a mess. I still have to deal with all that, but it will have to wait for a while. I don't know how things keep getting messy but I know I sometimes just can't keep up with it. I know I don't have the stamina that I once had for sure.

At the Lake House 2008

Walking down to the dock.

Don showing Noah and Jacob how to fish.

Diane and Linda floating and relaxing.

Looking up from the dock.

What fun we had at the Lake House. Here are some pics that show the walk down to the dock and the view back up to the house. Don fished with Jacob who had been talking about Uncle Don coming to the Lake since April. He had a great time not only fishing but riding the jet ski with Danny and his dad, going in the hot tub, and sleeping downstairs with the big boys.

The Smoky Mountains

It was so rainy that we couldn't enjoy the view.

We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Today we took a trip up into the Smoky Mountains to go to Clingman's Dome where there is a lookout. It's 6,642 feet above sea level and has a great view. As we went up the steep mountain road curving around and around it started to rain. Then by the time we got to the top it was pouring. There was no looking at the view since we were up in the rainclouds. We turned around and went back to Gatlinburg where we had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. The we went to the huge aquarium. It was really fun and probably the best aquarium I have ever been to. They had two huge tanks, a manta ray tank and a salt water tank, where there were shows. There was also a long tube you could walk through where there were sharks and all kinds of fish swimming around you.

MY 300TH POST

My 300th post...can you believe it? Who would have ever thought that I'd keep this up so long. This will be my last post for awhile because tomorrow I am taking a trip south. It will be so much fun to be with family again. I must say that we are a really close family. We love being together and having fun! Today was a busy day. Jack came and sealed the patio. I went to take a pic of it, but the batteries needed charging so I don't think that is going to happen. It will look great when I can get all my decorations on it. It will be so nice to come home to.
BAd news at the eye dr...they just can't do anything about my eye. i am going to a specialist in Buffalo when I return. good news on the mouth front. I'm almost back to normal eating and I felt better today than I have in a long, long, time. Yeah!
I'll try to post if I get time and share some of the good times with you.
