Summertime

Even though I haven’t planted many flowers this year the perennials have been Old Faithful‘s. The knockout roses and Bee Balm are a beautiful pink. And you can always count on the lilies. They seem to thrive with all the rain we’ve been having. 

How fortunate am I?

I am so lucky to have a son to help us out. Chris remodeled our bathroom by putting in a complete new floor,  new vinyl and new bathroom fixtures. He worked diligently for three days to complete all that work. He had to remove the toilet and vanity, cut plywood for the floor and put in new vinyl.  It looks so great now. Our house is sixty eight years old and we don’t remodel very often. And one thing leads to another so I will be looking for a new shower curtain and window curtains. 

I took this picture of Wendy using the portrait mode of my new phone. She has one more chemo treatment and then a four week break before she starts radiation. It has been a long haul for her.
