THE KARATE KID
When we were in Tennessee we went with the family to Sean’s karate lesson. His dojo teaches not only karate moves but Christian values as well. The night we were there it was set up as an obstacle course.
It was fun watching Sean as he practiced the skills featured that night.
t
There were tunnels, ropes to climb on, balancing beams, mats to somersault on, and Sean enjoyed going through the course.
The skill for that night was learning a forward and backward crescent kick. Sean really kicked very high.
That night Sean was tested for his gold belt. He took that very seriously and did all his kicks and hits and answered questions. He was so proud when the teacher placed that belt around him.
We also were so proud of him. He is quite the boy!

Supreme!
Last night Don and I had a wonderful date. We sent to the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford campus to see Supreme Reflections, a tribute to the Supremes. We had a fantastic time.
The University was celebrating its 50 years of being in Bradford. I remember in 1963 when the campus opening with just one classroom building. Now it is a complex of dorms, classrooms, a huge theater, a new chapel and large multi purpose building and cafeteria. We are lucky to have this in our community.
To celebrate there was a sixties party in the lobby with a disco ball, hippie guitarists singing sixties songs, food and drink from the sixties such as Tang punch and pineapple upside down cake.
The performance by the Supreme Reflections was amazing. Here are the details from their program.
One of the highlights was the narrator and performer George Solomon. This singer/actor starred with many Motown legends and delighted us with a few Frankie Valley songs and dance moves.
It left us singing those sixties songs.

Ain’t she sweet?
Girls are so cute! Sara and I had the best time making cupcakes. She is such a girly-girl. It’s all about her dolls, her jewelry, her pink. Notice the nail polish? WE did her toes too.
