Yesterday our Circle of Friends group traveled to the Riverside dinner theater south of Erie. It was a two hour trip made even longer with a construction delay of a half hour. It's always fun to go there. The grounds are beautiful and the entertainment is great.
After a tasty lunch we saw the musical The Andrew Brothers. It was a comedy and the actors were hilarious.
"The Good War had a great score, and some of the best WWII jukebox tunes are drafted for Roger Bean's The Andrews Brothers, a splashy sendup of a South Pacific USO tour. Hihspirits combined withe an essential respect for America's warttime experience, prompted smiles galore." -Variety
When a USO show is about be cancelled because a certain famous singing trio of sisters fails to show up, three male stage hands decided to fill their (sensible) shoes and prove that the show must go on! A hilarious musical filled with lots of laughs and some fantastic jukebox tunes of the Great War!
