Someone had to speak up

I try to stay away from talking about politics on this blog. I respect everyone's right to form their own opinion even if it vastly differs from mine.

But since the election I've been shaking my head when I realize how little Trump knows about governing a country. And each day I worry more about where our country is headed and how he will make major decisions when he responds so vehemently to a tweet.

Susan Branch is a wonderful author and I read her blog regularly for its delightful art and interesting travelogue. But today she did something quite extraordinary. She had a lengthy article on politics. It said everything that I wish I was able to say. And she said it without apology. I'm proud of her for standing up for her beliefs.
