“Come with me,' Mom says.
To the library.
Books and summertime
go together.”
― Lisa Schroeder, I Heart You, You Haunt Me
Anytime is for reading but it seems that no season is better than summertime. The warm weather creates an atmosphere of slowing down and along with that comes a good book. Lounging on my porch swing, listening to the waterfall and deep into a book is the best way to spend a summer day. Here is what I'm currently reading.
Your summer place to read, sounds delightful...
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I am reading. I've been on a kick of fun books, about French women and their mystique. Not totally reading, cover to cover necessarily, although some I do. This kind of no-plot-to-follow reading is being fun for me now.
Last evening I picked up one of the cozy mysteries, I have out of the library. And, for whatever reason, I couldn't stay with it. Perhaps I'm simply in a non-fiction rut.
But oh no!!!!!! A couple of days ago, I whiizzzzzed through a YA "Raised By Wolves" and loved it. But then, I love books by this author, Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

Summer is a great time to sit outside and read! I just downloaded 'The Goldfinch' from the library. I am going to begin reading it today sitting by the pool. :) I hope it is good.
