Is everyday special? Yes, it is. But some days I find are repetitive. Don't get me wrong. I take joy in the certain. Meeting my friends for coffee..or in my case ..tea. Walking Sadie. Reading. House chores. Playing on the computer. Favorite tv shows. Nothing wrong with stopping to take a breath.
“Take It easy, take it easy.
Don't let the sound of your own wheels
drive you crazy.
Lighten up while you still can,
don't even try to understand.
Just find a place to make your stand
and take it easy. ”

ReplyDeleteAnd I like that too!!!!!
We get so much "Be here now and enjoy each and every second" shoved at us. How can a human, do that, alll the time???? An ordinary human, living an ordinary life, that is. Not someone on a mountain top, who has the luxury of cultivating such a continuous view. He can.
Why can't we admit, that some stuff gets just boring??????????
Why can't we rebel against the admonition, to always enjoy washing dishes and find contemplative time then??? Sure, it's nice and possible, some of the time. But always!
And why can't we say this?????
Can you guess? Tessa~ is on a roll. You will see, in Wednesday's post. -grinnnnnnnnnn-

Love your reply Tessa. I once drew a cartoon of a woman laying on a couch. Underneath it said...I am a powerful woman. I can work a full day, enjoy every moment, multitask, raise children and be good at all things. But today. I'm just putting my feet up and watching Oprah.
DeleteLOLOL!!!
ReplyDeleteagreed girls.
but... peg o' my heart ... (i love that song. especially one recording that was on a wonderful 'honky tonk piano' album we had!)
couldn't get the pictures to show! did that happen to anyone else? i just get a little x in the corner... even after right clicking and 'show picture'.
I'm grateful for the blessing of every normal day that I am healthy and with Terry. I've had a number of my friends die young or suffer from devastating illnesses, so I KNOW how precious an ordinary day is. I still love that Eagles song! Have a happy ordinary evening, Peggy!
