I completed my painting last night. I worked from a photograph and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Those two hours pass so quickly when I am in the zone. My teacher is so supportive. Next time I am going to paint a sunflower. I love working in oils.

This is a lovely painting, Peggy, so delicate with gentle lambent colors. I thought it was a watercolor because of its soft feel!
ReplyDeletebtw, I've been playing catchup again. Will I ever get out of this bungie-jumping mode?
I loved your wedding photos and sharing in all the fun you had! So many great photos, Ms Wedding-not Photographer! Congratulations to Chris and Michele. I'm wishing them many years of happiness together. I thoroughly enjoyed the photo of you and Don! I spent last seeking working on wedding photos too. This aunt of the bride was very busy snapping all kinds of things at Deirdre's wedding. I think people like you and I can catch photos that get by the real wedding photographer.
So people are still doing groom's cakes? I remember my first marriage when Mom made the groom's cake, a traditional dark fruitcake. My Mom, sisters, and I sat up long into the night cutting it and boxing it a few days before the wedding!
Have a great weekend my friend!
A wow for your painting.
