Apple pie time

It’s apple pie time and last night we got to enjoy it with Wendy. She came over for dinner.  It was sweet of her to visit by herself and that let us know that she was comfortable enough with us. We shared stories and learned a lot about her back ground. She has had an interesting life as a park ranger,  a Navy girl, a soil conservationist, and a missionary. Don loved sharing stories of when he was in the Navy. She showed us pictures of her new house in Port Allegany and we told her of the long cold winters to expect up here in northern Pennsylvania. It was a lovely time and before she left she gave us a gift of a beautiful large print Bible.  We are so happy that she and Chris have found each other
