Winter is here
After a long spell of no snow we were hit today with a few inches and colder weather. I had a quiet day and am catching up on my reading. These January days are times of resting. It’s almost like I am taking a month off from all the usual things I do and just spending the days in quiet solitude. Other months are full of activity but January days can go by slowly. I am loving this excuse to be lazy.

I too like to think of January as my vacation month. Outside activities are at a minimum, there is no entertaining and no working in the garden. Just lovely days and nights in front of the fire with a pot of hot tea and a good book. My only resolution is to play the piano every day.
